Teen Shelter Dinners
Next Dinners: Sun, Mar 12, 2023 and Sun May 28
Be a part of Woodlands’ effort to care for teens in our neighborhood who are struggling under stressed conditions and taking temporary refuge in a local shelter. Share in cooking a hot, nutritious dinner for these youngsters. You may choose to make a main course, vegetable/starch side dish, salad, or dessert to serve approximately 10-12 young people. Bring your dish to the temple kitchen on a Sunday morning (dates to be determined) and we will deliver the dinner to the shelter for the evening’s meal. This is a great opportunity for a whole family to do social action together. (This program is a project of the Interfaith Caring Community of Greenburgh co-administered by WCT.)
Email shelterdinner@wct.org if you would like to help for the coming dinners or if you want to be notified of future dates.

Our Confirmation Class has gotten into the act as well. As is our tradition, the class (kids and parents) gathered in Woodlands’ kitchen on Thanksgiving morning and prepared a Thanksgiving feast for the teens in the shelter. Thanks to all the participating families.
