Reform Judaism in Israel

With over fifty Israeli congregations, Reform Judaism is no longer just a Diaspora movement. Its growth testifies to the desire of Israelis to connect with Judaism as a religion while rejecting the narrowness of the Israeli Orthodox establishment.

The Israel Movement for Reform & Progressive Judaism (IMPJ) is the umbrella organization of all the Reform communities and institutions in Israel. Learn more about the movement’s members, activities, and goals at http://www.reform.org.il/Eng/Index.asp.

The Israel Religious Action Center (IRAC) is the public and legal advocacy arm of the Reform movement in Israel (comparable to our RAC in Washington). It is recognized as the preeminent civil and human rights organization in Israel focusing on the issues of religion and state and the leading Jewish organization that advocates on behalf of a broadly inclusive Israeli democracy, infusing social justice advocacy with the spiritual energy and humane worldview of Progressive Judaism.
