Woodlands congregants and religious school families generously provide 50 boxes of Passover food for Project Ezra seniors. Our students help pack the donated food, make cards and write messages to our Project Ezra friends for a joyous Passover. Many of these folks would be unable to purchase Kosher-for-Passover foods themselves. Your donations continue our over 40 year commitment and friendship to these elderly friends living on the Lower East Side.
Please look carefully when purchasing food that it is specifically marked "Kosher for Passover" (not just kosher).

  2. Help shop for foods not donated between Apr 5-8 – contact Harriet Kohn at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. to volunteer.
  3. Make a donation to the Project Ezra Fund by clicking here and then scroll to the bottom of the page under Social Action and click on Project Ezra.
  4. We are looking for volunteers to personally deliver Passover food boxes to the seniors of Project Ezra, a non profit on the Lower East Side of Manhattan. The program is on Sunday morning April 14 at 465 Grand Street, NYC and should require a minimum of one hour of time, but second rounds are available to those who would like. Meter parking in the area is available.

Please donate only newly purchased certified KOSHER FOR PASSOVER food (not just Kosher!). This list fills one box going to one elderly couple; Woodlands packs 50 boxes.  In many cases, our box is the only source of Passover food for these seniors.
