In-Person Gatherings

In addition to our online services, the clergy team and Jewish Life Committee have put together a variety of in-person holiday gatherings for those who are comfortable attending an outdoor group event. All attendees must be properly masked and observe social distancing and contact tracing requirements. Advance registration will be required to attend, with timed entries so as to manage crowd size and traffic flow. Attendance may be limited.

  • We'll be kicking off the month of Elul on August 30 with visits to six Woodlands neighborhoods by our "Shofar Mobiles" - teams of clergy and volunteers leading brief shofar celebrations in members' yards.  Click here to register.
  • Selihot Havdalah will be celebrated on September 12 with a gathering for all ages on the temple lawn and distribution of our High Holy Days at Home bags.
Click here for more information and to register.
  • This year we’re heading to the Hudson River for Tashlikh—the traditional casting of our sins from the past year into flowing water. Click here for more information and to register.
  • Families with school aged kids can sign up for the Kol Nidre afternoon program on Sunday, September 27, featuring an art project coordinated by the Youth and Family Engagement Committee.  Click here for more information and to register.

The Memorial Garden Wall at Woodlands is always accessible for those who wish to visit, however we will require advance sign up for those who wish to visit the wall on Yom Kippur so as to ensure appropriate distancing between visitors. Click here to register. Visit wct.org/memorialwall to have the name of a loved one added to the wall.
