WoodSY stands for "WOODlands Senior Youth". WoodSY is a 9th-12th grade youth group for teens seeking Jewish spirituality through amazing experiences and friendship.
WoodSY is only a small part of a larger picture, however. As a member of Woodlands, you are a member of WoodSY, and you are also a member of the North American Federation of Temple Youth - a national movement that engages thousands of Jewish teens each year.

NFTY awards Life Membership to those individuals whose contributions to NFTY are without measure. Mazal tov to our two newest Life Members of NFTY, Jonathan "JC" Cohen and Eugene Krupitsky.

Passed as part of the Preamble of the new NFTY Constitution in February are NFTY's Thirteen Principles. These values are essential to fulfilling our mission as a Reform Youth Movement.

The Israel Religious Action Center has just launched a website in honor of Israel?s 60th birthday this Thursday May 8th.
This website gives information about the Israel Religious Action Center's humanitarian aid project, Keren B?Kavod, and many great Israel educational tools for young children, teens and adults.

WoodSY is a member of NFTY NAR: NFTY NAR stands for the New York Area Region. Our region encompasses temple youth groups (TYG's) from New York City, Long Island, Westchester and parts of Connecticut. All members of the region are high school students affiliated with a temple youth group or a URJ Congregation. NFTY-NAR hosts conclaves (kallot) throughout the school year to engage teens in Jewish learning, social action, and social community building. Here's a link to check out upcoming NAR events!
