The Union for Reform Judaism's Religious Action Center educates and mobilizes the American Jewish community on legislative and social concerns as an advocate in the Congress of the United States on issues ranging from Israel and Soviet Jewry to economic justice and civil rights, to international peace and religious liberty.

Every year, thanks to the generosity of S.T.E.V.E.'s Hope, many Woodlands Academy students spend a weekend at the RAC in Washington, DC, studying key issues, learning to lobby, and visiting the offices of New York congresspeople to lobby, authoritatively, on the topics they've studied during their weekend at the RAC.
