Woodlands Community Temple is a vibrant, resourceful, multigenerational community of modern Jews committed to creating a dynamic, innovative environment for all who wish to participate in Jewish life and ritual—regardless of age, sexual orientation, or financial means. We offer three types of membership, described below: Household, Gateway, Friends of Woodlands.
Household Member
At present there are about 400 household members at Woodlands, taking part in the wide array of activities and programs described throughout this website. Gateway
Woodlands runs the Gateway program in conjunction with the JCC on the Hudson (in Tarrytown) to provide families with children younger than third grade with a chance to participate in most aspects of temple membership, enjoy the facilities and programs of the JCC, and provide a Jewish education for their children at a deeply discounted price. Friends of Woodlands
Woodlands values its long-time members. And its long-time members value Woodlands. So when they move away—to Florida or other retirement centers—many remain not only friends of Woodlands, but "Friends of Woodlands," maintaining their ties and paying one-third of the standard household dues.
